General Resources

Digital Resources - Apps

  • The Beginner's Bible App (This app is good for several reasons.  As the text is read, each word is highlighted, so it's excellent for beginning readers.  This is an app version of The Beginner's Bible, so it's good to have the printed book for kids to use at home too. In class we wait until the text has been read and then take turns with the interactive parts.)
  • Bible for Kids App    This app doesn't have as many stories.  (There is a print Bible version.  I don't like the pictures as well. )  The app doesn't highlight each word as it is read, but there is more interaction opportunities.

Digital Resources - YouTube
  • Saddleback Kids   There are 148 different stories.  Search YouTube for Saddleback Kids and the Bible person or story you want.  This is just a link to one.
  • JellyTelly   Search YouTube for JellyTelly and the Bible person or story you want.  This is just a link to one.  There is an app too that is not free.  So far, this is free through YouTube.

Video Resources - DVD's
Read and Share DVD Bible, Volumes 1-4 - This is the same as the app and Bible except it's animated.  These are my favorite DVD's because the kids like them, they are short, and include most of the stories we learn.
